Straw made of Corn Starch

  • Published on September 30, 2022

Several endeavours have been made in the name of ecology and further approaches to plastic reduction. In the case of the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo adopted the "Green Attitude" over ten years to lessen its environmental impact and preserve biodiversity by offering corn starch straws.

Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo offers a high-quality substitute that has been made available for customers who still choose to use them. These straws are manufactured of corn starch and are 100% biodegradable as served one per drink. From the banishment in June to September 2018, an average of 104 “biodegradable” straws per day were used, thus a reduction of 73,5 %.
