Plan for the Implementation of Cycle Paths in Metropolitan Lima 2022-2024

This document seeks to structure the bases of the plan through which the execution of cycle path projects will be carried out from their planning, in that sense, this document includes the following chapters:

In the first part, a diagnosis of the current situation of the bicycle lane infrastructure, which includes the technical and normative basis that regulates the implementation of the infrastructure; This also details the history of the related planning efforts (current plans, proposals presented), and other plans related to the city and that consider sections of cycle paths, each one with an order or a general approach that has not been fully executed.

In the second part, the STNM Bikeway Plan is presented to 2024 that the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima has presented for evaluation in this project, these projects range from projects conceptualized in idea, to those that are formulated in the National System of Peruvian Public Investment, many with programmed allocation in the next 03 years, waiting for the formal budget allocation and others that have started the process for its execution.

If the construction project is achieved, these bike paths would greatly change the lifestyle of several people, reducing the use of emission-generating transportation among other actions that involve the consumption of services.
