TUI Care Foundation
TUI Care Foundation builds on the potential of tourism as a force for good by supporting and initiating partnerships and projects that create new opportunities for the young generation and contribute to thriving destinations all over the world. By connecting holidaymakers to good causes, we foster education and the wellbeing of children and youth, the protection of nature and the environment, and the positive impacts of tourism on people and places in destinations worldwide.

Supporting organisations
Global Tourism Plastics Initiative
In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, TUI Care Foundation commits to:
- Raising awareness about plastic pollution and it’s impacts on life on land and under water amongst tourists and locals through its projects
- Encouraging collaborating businesses and destinations where our projects are implemented to use the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative as a framework of reference
- Address plastic pollution when evaluating and designing new projects
- Facilitating the sharing of best practices and tips amongst projects to reuse, reduce, recycle, upcycle and eliminate plastic, especially aiming at capturing the specificities of the context in which our projects operate (e.g. local regulations) to support building a knowledge base
- Communicating to its networks about the activities and achievements of projects that have taken action against plastic pollution and connecting the achievements with the various areas of action of the GTPI to inspire further action
