Winter Performance test for Ultra-low Energy Building pilot demonstrations
The winter in 2018 was extremely cold and this became a great opportunity to test whether the ultra-low energy building or Nearly Zero Energy Building demonstrations could still maintain a good operation condition and the application of the new technologies were really suitable. Meanwhile, an indoor environment comfort testing and survey was also conducted in every projects that finally participated in the activity to see whether ultra-low energy building or Nearly Zero Energy Building is proper in China.
Accomplishment: We form 3 expert test team and 12 demonstration projects that finally participate in the test and the building annual energy consumption data of 10 projects were collected and published. The perfect energy performance shows that even in severe cold region in Northeast China, ultra-low energy building or Nearly Zero Energy Building can still maintain a comfort indoor environment and low energy consumption status. Challenges: Some projects in severe cold region show unreasonable operating conditions for fresh air system and air conditioning systems and corresponding commissioning adjustment have been made. Some projects have problems such as window deformation and slightly lower air tightness, and all the problems that revealed during the test were summarized and feedback to public. Proud: By now, we have received more than 20 new projects' application to participate in the next testing, more and more project show their will to publish their real status and more and more people pay attention in building energy saving.
