Video: ecolabel for sustainable development
The video is about the global goal of ecolabelling and how this tool improves the environmental situation on the planet. There are two options for the video: in Russian and English.
The video was prepared by the Ecological Union with the support of the Global Ecolabelling Network and the “Snegiri” animation studio specially for World Ecolabel Day.
Responsible consumption and production is one of the seventeen sustainable development goals set by the United Nations.
In order to solve social and environmental problems, producers should reduce their environmental impact. Consumers, in turn, should buy more environmentally preferable products.
A type I ecolabel is helpful in this case. In Russia it’s the Vitality Leaf ecolabel, in Nordic countries – the Nordic Swan, in Germany – the Blue Angel, etc.
