Sustainable Public Procurement in Russia

  • Published on January 14, 2021
Development of criteria for green public procurement and mechanisms for their implementation. Mastering and broadcasting the best world experience at the international and federal levels.
Public procurement accounts for about 30% of Russia's GDP. By introducing principles of SPP, the state is able to become a powerful driver of sustainable production and consumption across all sectors. Our main goal is to create a system of sustainable public procurement in Russia. The first step is to raise awareness and motivation of the decision makers, leaders and managers of state companies, municipalities and businesses on the subject of sustainable procurement, its instruments and implementation. The next steps include development of criteria for green public procurement and procedures for their implementation, including the regulatory framework, introducing ecolabels (such as Vitality Leaf) as an effective instrument of procurement criteria. Share the information, materials and activities on SPP available in your country
