World Trails Network (WTN)

The World Trails Network, a global leader in trails, is working to accelerate climate action in responsible tourism and ecotourism and commits & recognizes the Glasgow Declaration on the urgency to cut CO2 emissions in half by 2030 and to reach Net Zero before 2050 across all its activities. In addition we commit to communicating and fostering the role that trails play in tourism and in urban areas as alternative modes of non-motorized transportation for travel purposes. We put forward that trails are often in regions viable for landscape restoration and projects of carbon sequestration, and we commit to campaign to reduce carbon footprints in trail design, construction & maintenance amongst our members.
