As a mission-focused company, Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages collaborates with local communities to develop grassroots tourism programs that are environmentally friendly, socially impactful and 100% vegan. We follow a unique ‘community-based storytelling’ model of tourism, invest 50% of our profits into local communities, and minimize the negative externalities of tourism on our trips. As a signatory, we pledge to develop a climate action plan within 12 months; use science-based targets based on the IPCC’s advice to reduce and offset emissions; and work collaboratively with the tourism industry, especially to reduce food-related emissions, an area we specialize in.
