Commitments:

We are committed to making travel more sustainable and acknowledge that tourism can have an environmental, social and economic impact on the destination involved. We work with several national parks, but mostly we want our clients in sustainable lodges and hotels who care about their environment. We prefer lodges who have commitment with the Rainforest Alliance. We actively advice our customers to minimize flying during their holidays or to fly CO2 neutral with our flying partners like e.g. KLM. Reduction in the use of plastic , as members of the Peruvian Association of Adventure Tourism, we actively support the campaign "Zero plastic during the organisation of the treks e.g. In the Inca Trail network in the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu (Peru), providing our clients reusable water bottles. We are mindful of leaving a pristine view by using a litlle as possible plastic and keeping our plastic disposed with us until it can be properly disposed. Minimise pollution – through noise, waste disposal and congestion. All employees of SATS are encouraged to use public transport traveling to or at work. We do not own or lease cars. When you're in vacation mode, the impact you have on the natural world can quickly become "out of sight, out of mind." We at SATS remind our clients make conscious decisions before, during, and after their travel, we’ve has a short guide with a few tips to take environmental responsibility and enhance the experience of our clients with us. We fulfil these responsibilities by: • Establishing our own policies and involving our staff • Informing our clients about sustainable tourism and, where appropriate, • Encouraging them to participate • Working with our suppliers and partners to achieve sustainable goals and practices • Publicising good practice to encourage and spread awareness about sustainable tourism
