RPM program
The RPM program is a certification scheme which aims to reduce the environmental impact of plastics on the environment via awareness, assistance and solutions.
They manage a global assurance program for organisations engaged in responsible plastic management. RPM program assist with tools and services and motivate organisations on their plastic reduction and management improvement journey. They currently have over 9000 members with a large percentage of hotels via a partnership with Clean the World.

Global Tourism Plastics Initiative
In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, the RPM program commits to:
- Engaging a further 5000 hotels by 2025 (currently 8000) via a partnership with Clean the World, which operates recycling initiatives in the hospitality sector.
- Providing training and technical advice to partner organisations. RPM program plans to have 12,000 – 15,000 hotels engaged in responsible plastic management journeys by 2025
- Promoting engagement of organisations on website and directory and communicating successes via events
- Reporting publicly and annually on progress made towards these targets
