Green Globe

Green Globe was conceived at the Rio Earth Summit 1992, as a program to support Agenda 21 and bring its methodology and directives to the international travel and tourism industry. Growing to become a highly respected certification program, Green Globe has for the last 20 years been documenting and verifying the sustainability achievements of many of the world's leading hotels, resorts and hospitality businesses. Green Globe endorses the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action and specifically supports all actions that "report publicly both progress against interim and long-term targets, as well as the actions being taken, at least annually."
