City of Espoo has set a goal of being carbon-neutral by 2030 and is committed to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2025 in the international leadership program for pioneering cities. To achieve this goal, the city is developing, together with companies and other partners, solutions that serve as examples of future carbon-neutral urban life. Therefore, tourism also invests in the development of low-carbon forms of tourism. By promoting sustainable tourism, Visit Espoo aims to achieve comprehensive sustainable development of tourism, taking into account ecological, economic and socio-cultural aspects.
