Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism
It is the first entity that brings together all those working in ecotourism in Fayoum. The general assembly and the board of directors were formed from all parties working in ecotourism, such as hotel workers, ecolodges, safari workers and handicrafts.
For our plans to make difference, firstly, we are implementing a project of development of waste management system in Fayoum protected areas funded by GEF-SGP, that setting up a new waste sorting at source system that is compatible with the protected areas and its landscape. Secondly, We will keep working in that to reduce carbon emissions are coming from tourism sector through regular awareness campaigns about carbon neutrality and eco-friendly practices for all visitors and business workers. And, certainly we will regularly organize Clean up campaigns to conserve nature and ecosystems.
