Orkney already has incredible traction as an innovative ‘green’ island group. Against this background ‘Destination Orkney’ is well placed to offer collaborative leadership, enthuse and support our membership and engage with partners to achieve the aims of the Glasgow Declaration as we manage our transition in a way that supports and benefits our members. We acknowledge the special challenges which our island group faces in this task and are determined to lead enthusiastically rather than to follow along later.
