WEBINAR: Nature-based Solutions in Tourism

Join the training on May 19th and learn about the IUCN Global Standard on Nature-based Solutions and its application in tourism.

Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are increasingly viewed by businesses and governments alike, as essential mechanism for achieving sustainable development, that address biodiversity loss and climate change.  According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), NbS could provide around 30% of the cost-effective mitigation needed by 2030 to stabilise warming to below 2°C. To ensure transparency, efficacy and positive outcomes, IUCN has created the IUCN Global Standard on Nature-based Solutions.

The Tourism Action Coalition for a Sustainable Ocean (TACSO) has partnered with IUCN to serve as the tourism hub for the implementation and capturing of information of the use of the Standard in the tourism sector.
