Technical report on existing methodologies & tools for biodiversity metrics
The core initiative on Biodiversity is aims to demonstrate the feasibility of taking biodiversity considerations into account in business decisions and policymaking. The report has been compiled by experts on biodiversity assessments from academic institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
The first section of this report provides a description of key existing methodologies and tools to evaluate biodiversity, and the second section provides an analytical mapping of these methodologies and tools. The report is complemented by a link to an external compilation of case studies (third section), which illustrates applications of the methods described. In the last section, we evaluate required next steps to make the included biodiversity assessments operational.
