"StratKIT - Innovative Strategies for Public Catering: Sustainability Toolkit across Baltic Sea Region" https://www.stratkit.eu/en/project/ OFSP partner Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS) is a scientific partner of this project Its aim is to develop guidelines that will facilitate the introduction of a healthy diet to public catering - especially in school canteens. The leader of the project is the University of Helsinki, Finland. StratKIT provides an innovative approach to widely understood, publicly financed catering by including environmental, social and healthy dietary aspects in public procurement strategies. Acting at the local and global level, SGGW contributes in a special way to the implementation of the current principles of the sustainable development policy, which in the area of food and nutrition is connected, among other things, with the minimisation of the negative impact of food production and consumption on the natural environment and with concern for consumers' health. StratKIT is supporting organic, local and seasonal production, limiting food losses and waste, promoting well constructed diet based on plant products. The activities of the StratKIT project involving school and kindergarten canteens are an example of good practices that significantly affect the quality of life of current and future generations.
