Sustainable Destination Scheme

Sustainable Destination is a scheme for tourist destinations enabling them to work systematic and long term with sustainable destination management. A standard with monitoring KPIs, enabling templates and tools, trained advisors and a web-portal is provided as part of the scheme.

The involvement of both local public and private sector (DMOs with their industry members) ensure mobilization towards sustainability targets in tourism strategies and operations. This is done partly through training and competence, certifications (including SCP criteria) and involving governance.
