National Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization and Industrialization Plan (NAFMIP) 2021-2030
NAFMIP is a strategic and directional plan toward a food-and-nutrition secure, resilient Philippines with empowered and prosperous farmers and fisherfolk by 2030. It aims to guide the growth of the whole sector; inspire the full range of stakeholders to take action as a nation; and galvanize sector-wide public and private investments and resources.
The NAFMIP pursues circular food and commodity systems. These are geared toward the functional and holistic transformation of the sector through efficient and economical consumption of resources and production of goods. NAFMIP and SDG 12 are aligned in such a way that both aim to avoid or reduce damage to ecosystems and resource scarcity.
