Circular Economy Promotion Law of the People's Republic of China
In order to promote the development of circular economy, improve the efficiency of resource utilization, protect and improve the environment, and achieve sustainable development, this law was enacted. The term "circular economy" as used in this Law refers to the general term for the activities of reduction, reuse, and resource utilization in the processes of production, distribution, and consumption.
The development of a circular economy should be implemented in accordance with the principle of reducing priority on the premise of feasible technology, economically reasonable, and conducive to saving resources and protecting the environment. In the process of waste reuse and recycling, production safety should be guaranteed, product quality should meet national standards, and re-pollution should be prevented. (Article 4)
