Reducing Household Consumption Induced CO2 Emission through Behavioral Adjustment.

The project aimed at promoting sustainable lifestyle through education and policy advocacy that enhances reduction in carbon footprints by adjustments to household consumption habits that leads to Co2 emission The project targets 150,000 direct beneficiaries in Nigeria. It will also ensure sustainable consumption and production pattern in SDG Goal 12 which promotes resource and energy efficiency , sustainable infrastructure and access to basic services, green and decent job.
1.To reduce CO2 emission arising from household consumption of energy, food, or mobility; 2.To mainstreaming sustainable lifestyles into formal education 3.To make sustainable lifestyles a focus in every learning environment. The moment all people both consumers and producers at all levels see themselves as producers of CO2 emissions coming from their metabolic activities and to be aware that through simple good practices and habits, those emissions could start diminishing. ACTIVITY 8-Monitoring Activity 1 -SCP outreaches mobilization and sensitization of youth, community leaders, government and private sectors stakeholders. Activity 2.Production of SCP knowledge and technical tools Media engagements and communication. Activity 3. Formation of SCP youth advocacy Network behavioral adjustment orientation. ACTIVITY 4 - Capacity building for all SCP key actors stakeholders on sustainable consumption and production ISO 14064. ACTIVITY 5- Empowering youths for sustainable lifestyle through peer to peer (P2P) learning. ACTIVITY 6a-Multi stakeholders interface engagement action planning and good practices in consumption and production pattern shared and adopted total emission volume reduction targets. ACTIVITY 7- Production marketing policy strengthening advocacy. None is ongoing When individuals begin to compare their lifestyle and its impacts to others will ; i twill help to create sense of citizenship and competition which induces behavior Capacity, skill, information and knowledge about the impacts of individual consumption on the society and environment, will be a motivation to shift toward more sustainable behavior. Reducing CO2 emissions will significantly and quickly reduces harmful co-pollutants, save our economy more billions of Nairs in health costs than it costs to reduce emissions. Given these co-benefits, urgently and significantly reducing CO2 emissions from households and commercial entities is imperative. 1.Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA),they will get involved by: .• Ensure members active participation in SCP activities targeting production and distribution • Contribute to production regulatory marketing change policy debates and advocacy • Participate in action plan formulation for further engagement on CO2 emission Total emission reduction volume reduction targets • Make presentation on best practice in production and marketing at the interface meetings. 2. National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) They will get involved by: • Ensure members active participation in SCP activities targeting transport sectors • Contributes to transport regulatory policy and advocacy • Participates in action plan formulation for further engagement on CO2 emission Total emission volume reduction targets. • Make presentation on best practice in transport at the interface 3.Nigeria Electricuty Regulatory Commission (NERC), Nigeria Electricuty Regulatory Commission (NERC), They will get involved by: • Ensure members active participation in SCP activities targeting electricity sector • Contributes to debates on effective implementation of energy regulatory policy • Participates in action plan formulation for further engagement on CO2 emission Total emission volume reduction targets • Make presentation on best practice in energy uses in Nigeria.
