To provide consumers with aggregated sustainability information about their products at the point of purchase
To promote sustainable products and services and envisioning a shift in consumer behaviour towards sustainable consumption practices. This shift also includes empowering consumers in Southeast Asian countries.
To make a collaborative platform for product and company rating agencies, increasing their outreach to consumers.
To encourage and assist produces and manufacturers to adopt sustainable means of production thereby reduce their footprint and promote social justice.
The project is in a nascent stage of implementation. The current activities include collating information from various partners and institutions to compute a rating. It also includes building a web application tool to allow consumers to buy their products via our portal that provides impact information of each product.
Impact and Results
This initiative aims to work towards the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal 12, Responsible Consumption and Production.
The major impact through this initiative will be consumer awareness, and information transparency.
Many indirect impacts of the project will be catering towards other SDGs like Life on Land, Life Below Water, Climate Action, Good Health and Wellbeing, Reduced Inequalities, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Partnerships for the Goals.
Next steps and how to get involved
We are currently in partnership with Ethical Consumer, UK and Eco Sapiens, France. We are establishing alliances with interested organisations and individuals that share the same vision.
