DATE: 23 June 2020

TIME: 15:30 - 17:00 CET

RECORDING: If you've missed the webinar, the recording is available:

The Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme is preparing regional reports on the State of Play for Circular Built Environment in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America and Oceania. In addition to regional outlooks, a global report has been produced to summarise and compare the state of play regarding circularity in different regions. A crucial part of the reports is to give recommendations on how to move forward towards a sustainable and circular built environment.

In the soft launch webinar, some of the key findings from each region and globally are shared and discussed. We invite building professionals from different stakeholder groups and geographical regions to join us and help to sharpen and shape the recommendations and to provide feedback on the findings. Your input will be used to finalise the reports, which are planned to be published later this year. We will share a short summary document to all registered participants approximately one week ahead of the webinar with some guiding questions to provide food for thought.

As an important part of the report, the SBC programme has drafted a framework to link circular economy with the UN 2030 Agenda SDGs, Targets and Indicators. This framework will be discussed in the soft launch as well, and all feedback to it, from different stakeholder groups and regions is warmly welcomed. A survey mapping the relevance of 2030 Agenda to circular built environment will be sent to registered participants as well.
