About my work

Sirini is a fiscal policy consultant in the Economy Division at UNEP where she manages research studies and provides advice to countries on green fiscal policies to support delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement, working with partners in the Green Fiscal Policy Network and Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE). Sirini has over ten years of experience in the environment and sustainable development area, with a focus on green economy and fiscal policies at the national and international levels. Before joining UNEP, Sirini worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and at the Environment Agency for England and Wales. She holds a Master of Science degree in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
