About my work

My background in finance and risk management in the areas of both renewable energy and energy efficiency (EE/RE)and of reclamation and redevelopment of contaminated and abandoned land and properties. In the EE/RE arena, I provided (2010-2014) financial management technical assistance to cities and town that received 'Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants' in the US under contract to the US Dept of Energy and, under contract to the UK government (2008-2010), provided education and training to US state officials on the economics of climate change and sustainability. In the contaminated land arena, I have been under contract to the US Environmental Protection Agency for over 15 years to advise on financial issues, risk management and environmental insurance and did extensive work comparing US to EU practices in promoting reclamation and redevelopment. I have served on both land use and economic development planning bodies and have been involved with low income country economic development, notably in the Philippines, Bangladesh and Ghana, among other countries.
