Multistakeholder Advisory Committee of a programme: Sustainable Lifestyles and Education

About my work

I have (2008-2015) served as an executive director for one of South Africa's oldest and largest environmental NGOs. I am currently the director of Creating Sustainable Value Pty Ltd. This small company works with business, government and civil society to create economic value in ways that are socially and environmentally beneficial. Recent work has included: developing a Green Economy inventory for South Africa; researching the skills requirements for Green Supply Chain Management in the South African public sector; evaluating the potential for citizen science to address environmental issues; an appreciative enquiry of business-community co-operation in addressing water quality issues; and the development of tools for assessing skills development needs in the environmental sector. I am the recipient of a National Research Foundation scholarship to study organisational change and the creation of sustainable value. I hold a Masters of International Environmental Science and an MBA.
