About my workI am a senior researcher at the Centre for Regional and Tourism Research, an independent research centre located on the Danish Baltic Sea island of Bornholm. My fields of expertise include innovation and entrepreneurship in rural areas, knowledge and learning in small companies, creation and governance of business networks for sustainable food, tourism and experience economy. I am involved in a number of research and development projects about sustainable regional development, e.g. the Interreg South Baltic project, CIRTOINNO, 2016-2019, aiming at identifying and diffusing circular economy principles among small and medium-sized tourism businesses in the participating regions in Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden, and a EU funded development project on Bornholm, aiming at supporting the sustainability transition of local businesses within tourism, food and other sectors.
