About my work
My master's research for King's College London, Department of Geography related to the progression of social equity in South African conservation areas, and explored the efficacy of government-led skills programmes (occupational training) within the wildlife economy. I take a political ecology approach to examining issues of power in post-colonial Protected Areas. Additionally, I have held the position of Strategy & Engagement Manager at Imagine Scholar (www.imaginescholar.org) since 2016. A leading youth and community empowerment organization on the fringes of Kruger National Park, Imagine Scholar is founded on the belief that there is an equal distribution of talent around the world. We catalyze untapped human potential via an internationally award-winning student-led curriculum. I am also the Senior Lead of Global Activations at the Impact Travel Alliance, working with sustainable tourism leaders globally to educate travellers on improving their impact abroad.Areas of expertise
