Pour être au plus près de la pratique, EcoVadis a conduit en partenariat avec Affectio Mutandi une étude inédite auprès de plus de 550 entreprises dans le monde, aussi bien acheteurs que fournisseurs.

Transforming tourism through sustainable procurement

This publication aims to introduce the strategic role that sustainable procurement can play to transform tourism by scaling up the market of sustainable products and services in the sector, enabling the reduction of GHG emissions and the shift towards a more resilient, resource efficient development. The document intends to inform dialogues on how best to incorporate circularity and sustainability in procurement practices of tourism businesses and illustrate to which extend tourism professionals have already successfully done so. It is addressed to corporate buyers and business leaders in the tourism sector as well as policy makers. It has been developed as part of the United Nations Environment Programme work on sustainable consumption and production in the tourism value chain.

The overall objective of the study is to present the Republic of Korea’s GPP impact measurement methodology, to compare it to others used by other public authorities internationally and to pilot a macro-economic analysis of the economic and environmental impacts of the Republic of Korea’s GPP policy in order to improve the approaches used by the government to estimate GPP impacts and benefits. Also, it provides guidance to governments reforming their GPP policies and measurement approaches.

The “Factsheets on Sustainable Public Procurement in national governments” is a supplement to the 2017 Global Review of Sustainable Public Procurement. It features 40 country factsheets that illustrate the current state of sustainable public procurement (SPP) policies, activities, programmes, and monitoring and evaluation systems in national governments around the world. The main research aim of the 2017 Global Review is to explore the progress made in terms of SPP in the past three years at a global scale, highlighting regional trends. This supplement completes this research effort by providing detailed information on the state of SPP in each of the countries that participated in the survey.
