Meet the new Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee (MAC) of the One Planet Network SPP programme

Organisations from across 12 different countries will come together in early 2020 to begin delivering on the SPP priorities

The Sustainable Public Procurement programme of the One Planet network is excited to announce the new Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee (MAC) for the period 2019-2021:

The MAC brings together a body of programme partners, who together with the co-leads commit to be actively contributing to the SPP Programme’s work plan with projects and contribution to interest groups. In their capacity, MAC members provide technical and strategic advice to the SPP Programme and support it by:

  • Ensuring coherence and evolution of the SPP Programme’s work plan;
  • Proactively identifying collaborative projects, facilitating the initiation of activities such as sector or topic based Interest Groups;
  • Communicating about funding opportunities for the SPP Programme and the One Planet Network Multi Partner Trust Fund;
  • Advocating and raise awareness about the SPP Programme and its strategic objectives.

For the Sustainable Public Procurement Programme this committee is an excellent occasion for identifying and taking forward new streams of collaborative work and joint initiatives in the area of sustainable procurement. This form of collaboration is critical to bringing perspectives from different geographies and sectors into one conversation that can help us achieve the significant impact the world needs: shifting the focus of procurement from cost compliance to value creation and build evidence, develop methodologies, raise the global political profile for the topic and promote good practices on sustainable procurement.

Further information on how to get involved with the SPP programme is available through a dedicated hub on this platform
