Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative
The HCMI methodology was developed by the hospitality industry (ITP & WTTC) to calculate and communicate the carbon footprint of hotel stays and meetings in a consistent and transparent way. Version 1.1 of the methodology, described in this document, clarifies the treatment of refrigerants, mobile fuels plants and provides additional guidance on how hotels should calculate their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
