Bilan de GES du tourisme à Marrakech
This document establishes the carbon footprint of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the tourism sector in Marrakech (first tourist destination of the country) , as well as key mitigation action levers in terms of transportation and mobility, accommodation, tourism activities, waste, and food service.
The carbon footprint forms part of the project 'Advance SCP', and fed into the development of a NAMA for the tourism sector in Morocco (also available in the portfolio), which the Ministry of Tourism developed in collaboration with UNEP and UNDP. The carbon footprint study was undertaken by Carbon 4 and TEC Conseil. The project 'Advance SCP' is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
