Quality in Tourism
Quality in Tourism is the largest accreditation body in the UK working in travel, tourism and hospitality and is rapidly growing across the globe. Operating as the Primary Authority for Tourism through a partnership with Cornwall council, ratified by the Secretary of State for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy. The partnership covers Trading Standards, Enviromental Health and Fire Safety. Quality in Touirsm delivers a baseline accreditation called Safe, Clean and Legal (SCL) designed to deliver consumer safety and trust through checking that a business complies to health and saftey regulations, verifying that properties exisit and ensuring that they offer professional levels of cleanliness.
SCL underpins the Quality in Tourism Responsible program which includes REST (Responsible, Ethical, Sustainable Tourism/Travel), WellBMe (Wellbeing and Mental Health), our Access & Inclusivity Scheme and F.A.R.E (Food. Authentic. Responsible. Ethical). The Quality in Tourism accreditation schemes are designed to support businesses on their continuous improvement journey, to help them improve their contribution to their communities, to ethically support their staff, to deliver customer sfaety and to improve their customer satisfaction, to evolve as an increasingly more sustainable business in every sense, and to increase their bottom line.
