Phuket Hotels Association
The Phuket Hotels Association comprises a broad spectrum of hotels based on the Phuket island in Thailand. The nonprofit organization aims to promote a well-rounded, dynamic picture of Phuket to travelers from around the world by highlighting the diversity of Phuket's natural resources and culture, while at the same time providing educational scholarships, environmental initiatives and other community-based activities.

Global Tourism Plastics Initiative
In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, the Phuket Hotels Association commits to:

Expanding the eradication of single-use plastics further to other areas within the hospitality sector particularly F&B, areas such as restaurants and kitchens in hotels by 2020.

Continuing to develop programs, training mechanism for their hotel members to continue to raise awareness and action upon removing single-use plastics in their hotel properties.

Documenting key milestones and successes as well as conducting audits by PHA staff members to ensure hotels follow guidelines and targets are met.
