Cologin Farm Lodges

Our family run rural self-catering complex near Oban in Scotland's West Highlands promotes the beauty of the local environment and provides holiday accommodation to visitors. As a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action our business has now begun the journey towards net-zero carbon emissions through a number of new initiatives to reduce our reliance on chemicals and plastics and increase our use of recycling and the circular economy. We encourage our guests to be responsible and turn off appliances when not in use and we are currently introducing discounted stays for those who visit us by public transport - although this is challenging in a rural location. We are currently scoping out a micor hydro generation site and will consider solar power to produce our own electricity. Our guests enjoy fresh spring water and we use environmentally friendly products as our sewarage system is also private. We promote mindfulness and open up our forests and fields for visitors to enjoy and reconnect with the natural world. It is in our interest to protect the beautiful scenery that surrounds us and as founder members of the areas local tourism group we have always encouraged collaboration to ensure that Oban's tourism industry is both sustainable and secure.
