Archipelago city of Pargas

City of Pargas situated in the world's larges archipelago, the Finnish Archipelago Sea, with over 40.000 islands and skerries. The Archipelago National Park is one of Europe's largest remaining protected wilderness areas. The rich archipelago culture and hundreds of inhabited smaller and larger islands in the archipelago area together with the environmental challenges of the Baltic Sea makes the way of life very dependant on nature and a sustainable way of living. Sustainable tourism is an important livehood and something that the area focuses on in developing. We want to continuosly develop authentic, environmentałly wise ways of travelleing and enjoying our area. The area is part of the Sustainable Travel Finland development.
