WEBINAR: Sustainable Public Procurement: The sleeping giant

Join the webinar on 2 March (10:00 CET) to discuss what SPP has to offer the developing world and how to make it a reality.

DATE: 2nd March 2021

TIME: 10 am (CET)

How is sustainability integrated into government procurement processes? What can Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) offer to governments, especially in transition economies, in particular in the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia? How can governments act when green goods and services are not available and / or have higher upfront costs? How can we encourage local suppliers to expand their supply of green goods and services? How can governments streamline SPP tendering processes to remove barriers to access for small businesses (eg e-procurement, preference boundaries)?

The webinar is organized by GGKP and UNEP within the framework of the UN Account Development project “Strengthening Sustainable Public Procurement for the Regional Transition to Inclusive Green Economy in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia”.
