Webinar ‘SDGs and Product Sustainability Information’
On April 24, the Akatu Institute held, in partnership with UNEP and Global Compact Brazil, the ‘SDGs and Product Sustainability Information’ webinar to guide business representatives, public policy makers and members of civil society about the importance of providing information on the sustainability of products. The global guidelines on environmental, social and economic attributes of products developed by the UNEP were presented.
The main objective is to guide representatives of companies, public policy elaborators and members of civil society regarding the importance of providing information on the sustainability of products.
In addition, the event also presented a set of global guidelines on environmental, social and economic attributes of products to empower consumers so that they can make better purchasing choices. Increasing the availability of reliable information to drive consumer decision-making and to help accelerate the transition to more global Sustainable Consumption and Production policies and practices.
