The webinar covers Sustainable Publid Programme of the One Planet network, presenting specifically Green Public Procurement experience of Sweden and GPP-related activities of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It also touches upon Working group 4a: Greening Supply Chains.
Key speakers from the Swedish EPA included Ms. Kristina von Oelreich, Deputy Head of the Department of Operational Support, who shared the Swedish EPA's experience with Green Public Procurement (GPP), Ms. Annika Kleen, Legal Advisor, who presented the results of the survey, conducted in Sweden in 2013, on how the public sector is working with GPP, and Mr. Sven-Olof Ryding, Senior Advisor on Green Public Procurement, who presented the conclusions of the pre-study on the “Sustainability of Supply Chains and SPP" in June 2014.

Develop environmental policy and legislation
Ensure environmental policy decisions are implemented
Evaluate and propose measures
Participate in EU and international environmental efforts
Provide the Government with expert knowledge
Guide according to the Ordinance (2009:907) on environmental management in government agencies
Competent body- according to the European Regulation for Environmental Management and Internal Audit (EMAS)

2013 Report on ”Green Public Procurement – a tool for acheiving national environmental quality objectives”
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has in the years of 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2013 conducted a survey with the aim of monitoring how government agencies, municipalities, county councils and government companies are working to establish environmental requirements in connection with the purchasing of goods and services.
Of the 654 organizations that the survey was sent to, a response rate was received of 58%. That is a total of 376 responses. 195 of the answers are from state agencies, 142 from municipalities, 27 from government companies and 12 from county councils.
