The original information about webinar

Implementation of the environmental footprint methodology in Morocco – The pilot case of the destination Marrakesh. The destination was strategically chosen to implement the pilot project in Morocco, as it is the city’s showcase for national tourism and it ranks first in terms of overnight stays in tourist accommodation establishments, followed closely by the cities of Agadir and Casablanca.
This webinar is a presentation of the environmental hotel footprint project piloted in Morocco as part of the project 'Advance SCP'. The presentation was given by Betterfly Tourism during the closing of the project in April 2019. The methodology is a reliable, official, and easily understood environmental assessment method that transparently informs customers of their hotel establishment’s performance.
The project is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag. In Morocco, the project was implemented by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with UNEP and UNDP.
