The Working Group 4bon "Supporting SPP implementation through the use of ecolabelling and sustainability standards" was established as a space for knowledge sharing and interaction between public procurers on the one hand, and private standard or ecolabel organisations and users on the other hand.

The challenges that exist in the area of sustainability claims is the messy landscape of claims, lack of understanding of what claims mean, and finally that making vague claims has low risk and high reward.

This webinar is making the connection between the 10YFP Consumer Information and Sustainable Public Procurement Programmes.

Outline:

  • Objectives
  • Overview of 10 YFP
  • Introducing the claims landscape
  • Challenge the label tool
  • Application to public procurement

At the end of the webinar, there was a questions session led by the discussion.

Presenters:

Marcus Nyuman, ISEAL Senior Policy Coordinator

Amy Jackson, ISEAL Senior Credibility Manager
