Enabling Chemicals Management for Toys value chain > introducing UNEP & BEF toolkit
There’s consensus that play with toys is a serious business and can bring a lifetime of benefits. A pre-requisite is that Toys are SAFE, for human health and the environment. Consumer expectations, regulatory requirements, and investor aspirations are aligned, chemicals in products need to be managed.
While chemical-related impacts can often occur during a product’s use or end-of-life, decisions influencing product ingredients are taken further upstream of the value chain. To support the Toy industry with its efforts for robust chemicals management and chemicals-related regulatory compliance; United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in collaboration with the Baltic Environment Forum (BEF) have established a toolkit with practical and stepwise guidance, which will be introduced during this webinar.
