The 23rd MAC Meeting of the Consumer Information Programme took place online on 8th December 2021.

The 23rd MAC Meeting of the Consumer Information Programme took place virtually on December 8th. It was attended by MAC members, Programme co-leads and Coordination Desk members. Participants engaged in fruitful discussions on the way forward for the Consumer Information Programme and renewed their interest on working together and participating in new initiatives. 

The meeting had four main objectives:

Discuss and develop priorities for 2022 and beyond

Review progress and learnings from 2021

Gather feedback on key Programme outputs

Celebrate achievements and learnings from MAC members in 2021

Members reviewed the achievements made by the Working Groups in 2021, and were encouraged to continue sharing information to push progress forward. During the breakout discussion session, members exchanged ideas on the risks and opportunities for the Programme in 2022, the topic areas that are currently missing, and the key learnings from 2021. The need for more sustainable products, more credible information, and the responsibility of the global community were also recognized and discussed. In the final roundtable session, speakers celebrated organizational achievements and shared their individual learnings.
