Argentina: Contest for the National Program to Reduce Food Loss and Waste

Innovative solutions to reduce food loss and waste in Argentina's horticultural sector.
On June 7 the final session of the Contest #SinDesperdicioHortícola was celebrated in Buenos Aires city. Twelve finalists presented their projects, and two of them came out as winners. Congratulations to the projects "Silo Papa" and "Deep Agro"!
The purpose of the contest was to identify innovative solutions to reduce Food Loss and Waste in Argentina’s horticultural sector, and help this projects to scale up. The contest was organized by the Secretariat of Government of Agroindustry and the Inter-American Development Bank, through the #SinDesperdicio platform and it’s Innovation Lab (I-Lab), with the support of IBM and the Argentine Network of Food Banks.
