Workshop on Education for Sustainable Living: Advancing teaching and learning for responsible consumption

The Centre for Collaborative Learning for Sustainable Development at Inland Norway University of applied Sciences in collaboration with Earth Charter International Secretariat and the EC Center for ESD, will hold a workshop on Education for Sustainable Living: Advancing teaching and learning for responsible consumption. The workshop will examine how education can support progress towards SDG 12, and it will consider how policy, pedagogy and practice of education for sustainable living.
This Workshop aims to share experiences with education for sustainable living and examples of best practice from around the world. It will focus on how to improve both teacher training and educational practice in schools on sustainable living and responsible consumption. Discussions will deal with such challenges as: • the need for more transformational education, • how to empower responsible living and engage learners, • how to assess education for sustainable development, • best practice for comprehensive teacher training on education for sustainable living. The workshop has been promoted in Latin America and the rest of the world. Participants have registered. Ready for Costa Rica. The workshop will examine how education can support progress towards SDG 12, and it will consider how policy, pedagogy and practice of education for sustainable living and responsible consumption may best be advanced especially in the Latin America region.
