The side event aims to use an innovative format to raise awareness among decision-makers, government representatives, tourism businesses, stakeholders and journalists about the sustainable and circular solutions that exist for making tourism greener

Table 1: Enhancing Local Production and linkages with cultural heritage
Local producers will explain how they create linkages with the tourism industry through sustainable value chains.

Table 2: Sustainable Food systems
Presenters will include the maker of a traditional local Halloumi cheese, and a chef sharing experiences about how they avoid food waste. Attendees are invited to share their experiences to enhance sustainability in food systems

Table 3: Tourism fighting plastic pollution
Plastic debris and chairs upcycled from plastic to be on display. UN Environment Programme representative speaks on multilateral efforts to combat plastic pollution. Attendees are invited to share their experiences to increase circularity in the use of plastics

Table 4: Circular approaches and new technologies
Presenters will exhibit alternatives to plastic and other technologies.

Wrapping up: a quiz with a prize
