Santa's Workshop En Modo Acción

This event will present different options and actions to make Christmas more sustainable without losing the Christmas spirit.

Christmas is one of the most important holidays of the year and leads to high levels of consumption of gifts, decorations, food and other aspects of Christmas. Now the idea is to make Christmas more sustainable by reducing environmental impacts without affecting the economy and traditions. Some of the most impactful are the decorations such as lights, Christmas trees, and nativity scenes. To reduce this impact, we can use energy-saving and durable lights, and reuse the tree and ornaments for more than one year. Gifts can also be impactful. It is better to make them or buy environmentally friendly gifts and use recycled paper or cloth is also a good option for gift wrapping. Sustainable alternatives can be found to other resource-intensive practices during the Christmas period.
