The main objective of this event is to facilitate ‘Green Product Market Transformation’ in the country and create awareness amongst stakeholders on the use of GreenPro eco-labelled products. The 4-day online conference is expected to attract more than 200 stakeholders including architects, developers, contractors, consultants, specifiers, government, public and private enterprises, and end-users from the green building sector.

Half-day program on ‘Sustainable Procurement’

CII in collaboration with the UNEP’s One Planet Network SPP Programme is organizing a half-day program on ‘Sustainable Procurement’ on the 4th Aug. 2020, 2-6pm. The main objective of the session is to accelerate the uptake of SPP in India by creating awareness and capacity building of stakeholders. The event would discuss two key themes. The first theme ‘Sustainable Public and Private Procurement for accelerating Business and Economic Growth’ would focus on bringing growth back in the nation by advancing green procurement practices, whereas the second theme on ‘Implementation of Sustainable Procurement in the Building sector – Challenges and Opportunities’ would address the drivers for propelling the use of sustainable products in the infrastructure, including the built environment.

The program on ‘Sustainable procurement’ would engage from wide spectrum of construction and industrial sectors. The event would also showcase a virtual exposition on green products and materials. The initiative is expected to increase awareness on green consumption, drive green practices in construction, institutionalize green procurement in public and private sectors, and empower the end-users to make the right choices for the selection of green products, materials, and technologies. Overall, this Summit would act as a catalyst for meeting the UN goals 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production and specially SDG 12.7.
