Conversation - Vegetarianism: A sustainable food option? / Conversatorio ¿Vegetarianismo, una opción de alimentación sostenible?

Learn about vegetarianism, its types, environmental impacts and its benefits for a sustainable diet.

The production of animal-based food has negative impacts such as the use of agrochemicals in the soil to feed the animals, causing imbalances in the land, as well as an overpopulation of certain animals, and even the number of these animals causes an impact on the greenhouse effect due to the gases they emit, among other impacts. The workshop was to raise awareness of the impacts of animal-based food production and how vegetarianism benefits a sustainable lifestyle, as well as to resolve doubts about the myths that exist on the subject and the different types of vegetarianism.
