6Aika Carbon Neutral Tourism Seminar – Towards carbon-neutral tourism with data!

The carbon neutrality targets also apply to the tourism sector, where measuring emissions has been relatively challenging. The City of Helsinki invited all those interested in sustainable tourism to hear how carbon-neutral tourism can be promoted through data to the final seminar of the 6Aika Carbon Neutral Tourism project on 28 January 2022.

The event included, among other issues, the climate in which Finland will travel in the future, the national carbon footprint calculator of the tourism industry, data collection experiments related to the mobility of tourists and considered whether carbon-neutral tourism is possible at all.
